Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of Estimation to lead and manage the estimation processes for large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects within the Mineral & Metals industry. Strong understanding of project cost estimation processes across various disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Mineral & Metals, with a proven track record of delivering accurate cost estimates across civil, mechanical,



instrumentation, and electrical disciplines.

Responsibilities

- Lead the estimation team for LSTK/EPC projects in the Mineral & Metals sector, including Steel Plants, Pellet Plants, Beneficiation Plants, Aluminium Smelters, Zinc Plants, Material Handling Systems, and Mining infrastructure projects.
- Own and manage multidisciplinary estimation activities across civil, mechanical, structural, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Thoroughly review tender documents, technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and client requirements with focus on commercial and execution risks.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project scope, PFDs/P&IDs;, GA drawings, layouts, and engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams for RFQs, techno-commercial evaluations, and budgetary proposals.
- Develop commercial comparisons and bid strategies to support competitive proposal submissions.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, contracts, project management, and business development teams to align project scope and costing assumptions.
- Ensure timely submission of accurate, comprehensive, and competitive techno-commercial proposals. Support management in bid review meetings, project risk analysis, value engineering, and cost optimization initiatives.

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 15 years of experience in estimation/proposal management for EPC/LSTK projects in the Mineral & Metals industry.
- In-depth knowledge of LSTK/EPC project delivery.
- Strong understanding of project cost estimation processes across various disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
- Experience in vendor/subcontractor management, RFQs, techno-commercial evaluations, and budgetary estimation.
- Solid communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, or related discipline). A Masters degree or certification in project management or cost estimation would be advantageous.
