Job Title: GCP Data Engineer Remote UK Shift We are seeking a Data Engineer to lead the end-to-end design, ensure cross-component integration, and maintain the architectural integrity of the platform from development through global production.

Key Responsibilities (Strategic Design & Governance)

End-to-End Blueprinting: Own the holistic architectural roadmap, ensuring Google Cloud Run, Big Query, and Google API Gateway work in a seamless, high-performance ecosystem. Component Orchestration: Design the interaction patterns between microservices, external identity providers, and data verifcation APIs.

Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs):

- Architect for high availability (99
- 99% SLA), scalability to handle burst loads, and disaster recovery strategies that meet strict RTO/RPO targets
- Security & Compliance Architecture: Defne the security posture for the platform, including Zero-Trust networking (PSC/NAT), encryption at rest/transit, and robust audit logging
- Cost Governance & Optimization: Drive the FinOps strategy,



balancing performance requirements against the infrastructure budget to ensure an efcient cloud spend
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, DevOps leads, and the development teams to ensure technical decisions align with business goals
- Technical Requirements (Must-Haves) Architectural Experience: 8+ years in software or systems architecture, with at least 4 years focused on Google Cloud Platform
- Enterprise Integration: Proven track record of designing complex integrations involving Google API Gateway, Identity Providers (Auth0/Okta), and high-scale databases
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep understanding of serverless architecture and modern networking (VPCs, Firewalls, Load Balancing)
- Decision Frameworks: Strong ability to conduct "Build vs
- Buy" analyses and defend architectural choices to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifcations

- Certifcations: Google Skilled Cloud Architect (PCA) is highly preferred
- Legacy Migration: Experience migrating enterprise platforms from legacy on-prem or monolith systems to cloud-native architectures
