Platform Product Manager - ECommerce

In-house marketplace selling platform • ~6-month interim engagement

We're looking for an experienced Platform Product Manager for an immediate ~6-month engagement to provide interim coverage while we recruit the permanent role. Strong potential to extend or convert.

Context

We run an in-house multi-marketplace selling platformmanaging:

- Listing
- Pricing
- Ads
- Availability
- Across third-party marketplaces such as:

- Amazon
- Walmart
- Best Buy

Think of the capability set as a ChannelAdvisor / Rithum / Mirakl-class platform, built in-house.

The contractor will stabilize delivery and product clarity while partnering closely with architecture and engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities

- Translate cross-domain needs (listing, pricing, ads, availability) into explicit, buildable product requirements.
- Specify features and build rapid prototypes.
- Break work into well-formed user stories and keep the development team unblocked.
- Partner with architects on event/API contracts and technical feasibility.




- Maintain sequencing and delivery momentum across concurrent workstreams.

Must-Have Skills

- Senior Product Manager (PM) / Technical Product Manager (TPM) experience on a platform or SaaS product (not just a single-feature product).
- Direct experience with marketplace/e-commerce selling platforms, ideally:
- ChannelAdvisor
- Rithum (CommerceHub)
- Mirakl
- Feedonomics
- or similar platforms.

- Hands-on experience with marketplace integrations using:

- Amazon APIs
- Walmart APIs
- eBay APIs

- Comfortable working directly with engineering and architecture teams.
- Technically fluent in:

- APIs
- Event-driven systems
- Multi-tenancy

- Strong experience using up-to-date AI-assisted PM tools for:

- Rapid prototyping
- Specification generation
- User story generation

- Self-starter who can ramp up quickly and operate in ambiguous environments.

Nice-to-Have

- Experience with:
- Retail pricing
- Marketplace advertising / Retail Media
- Catalog and listing management at scale.
