Role & responsibilities

- Conduct chemical synthesis, purification, and process development for assigned molecules.
- Support process scale-up, validation, and technology transfer to pilot plant and commercial manufacturing.
- Analyse analytical data (HPLC, GC, NMR, IR, Mass, etc.) and plan experiments with the reporting manager.
- Prepare and maintain lab notebooks, development reports, SOPs, and other technical documentation.
- Perform literature and patent searches using tools like SciFinder, Reaxys, and Google Patents to support product development, process optimisation, and patent assessment.
- Assist in process improvement, cost optimisation, and innovation initiatives.
- Execute laboratory experiments safely, accurately, and in compliance with SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project timelines and business objectives.
- Provide regular project updates, participate in technical discussions, and maintain accurate research documentation.




- Promote knowledge sharing, teamwork, and effective coordination with R&D; and other departments.

Preferred candidate profile:

- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- 3-6 years of relevant industry experience in Process Research & Development (Process R&D;).
- Hands-on experience in process development, process optimisation, scale-up, and technology transfer.
- Strong understanding of synthetic organic chemistry, analytical data interpretation (HPLC, GC, NMR, IR, LCMS), and scientific documentation.
- Experience with literature and patent searches using SciFinder, Reaxys, and Google Patents will be preferred.
- Valuable problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
