Job Summary:

Responsible for supervising daily fabrication activities in the boiler manufacturing shop, ensuring production as per drawings, quality standards, and delivery schedules while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

- Plan and execute fabrication activities (cutting, fit-up, welding, assembly).
- Ensure daily/weekly production targets are achieved.
- Monitor work progress as per project schedule.

2. Drawing & Technical Understanding

- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, WPS, and technical specifications.
- Guide workers on correct fabrication sequence and methods.

3. Manpower Supervision

- Allocate work to welders, fitters, and helpers.
- Monitor productivity and discipline of shop-floor workers.
- Train and guide workforce for skill improvement.

4. Quality Control

- Ensure fabrication meets quality standards and codes (ASME, IBR, etc.).
- Minimize rework and repair percentage.




- Coordinate with QC team for inspections and approvals.

5. Welding Control

- Ensure proper use of welding consumables.
- Monitor welding parameters and adherence to WPS.
- Identify and resolve welding defects (lack of fusion, porosity, etc.).

6. Safety Compliance

- Ensure all safety practices are followed in the shop.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness.
- Prevent accidents and unsafe conditions.

7. Material & Resource Management

- Ensure availability of raw materials, consumables, and tools.
- Coordinate with stores and planning departments.

8. Coordination

- Work closely with QA/QC, planning, maintenance, and design teams.
- Report production status and issues to management.

9. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain production records, reports, and shift logs.
- Track rejection, repair %, and productivity data.
