Role & responsibilities -

Mining Operations & Production:

- Execute and supervise mining operations to achieve targeted production and quality objectives.
- Prepare and implement mine plans, production schedules, excavation sequences, and operational strategies as per approved plans.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and other available resources.
- Monitor daily mining activities and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with the Mines Act, Metalliferous Mines Regulations (MMR), DGMS guidelines, environmental regulations, and other applicable statutory provisions.
- Maintain statutory records, registers, returns, and reports as required by law.
- Support and coordinate inspections, audits, and compliance reviews by regulatory authorities.

Safety & Administration:

- Ensure safe mining operations and promote a strong safety culture across the mine.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and safety reviews.
- Monitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage workforce discipline, contractor performance,



and day-to-day mine administration.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

- Monitor production, equipment utilization, and operational KPIs.
- Analyze daily operational data and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present production reports, MIS, statutory reports, and management reviews.

Stakeholder & Team Management:

- Maintain effective communication with workmen, contractors, supervisors, and senior management.
- Liaise with government departments, DGMS officials, local authorities, and other stakeholders as required.
- Lead, guide, and develop mine supervisory staff and operational teams.

Preferred candidate profile -

- Robust understanding of mining laws, DGMS regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience in semi-mechanized opencast mining operations.
- Robust leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to relocate and work at mine sites.

Qualification -

- B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering.
- Valid First Class or Second Class Mines Manager Certificate.
