Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall management and smooth functioning of the retail store.
The role involves overseeing daily operations, managing inventory, ensuring excellent customer service,
supervising sta, maintaining store hygiene and visual merchandising, and ensuring proper stock control
across all product categories, including FMCG products, electrical goods, groceries, pulses, fresh vegetables,
dairy products, clothing, footwear, bags, and ready-to-eat evening snacks. The Store Manager is also
responsible for introducing new products in each segment from time to time to support new sales
opportunities and improve customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Operations
Manage the day-to-day operations of the store eciently.
Ensure the store opens and closes as per company guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall store appearance.
Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
2. Sales & Customer Service
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints professionally.
Promote ongoing oers, new arrivals, and seasonal products.
Encourage upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue.
¢ Identify opportunities to introduce new products in every segment from time to time to generate
fresh sales and attract repeat customers.
3. Inventory & Stock Management
¢ Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability.

¢ Maintain accurate records of stock inward and outward movements.
¢ Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verication.
¢ Minimize stock loss, wastage, pilferage, and product expiry.
¢ Coordinate with the purchase department for timely replenishment.
¢ Ensure proper storage of FMCG items, electrical products, fresh vegetables, pulses, dairy products,




clothing, footwear, bags, and snacks.
4. Fresh Produce, Dairy & Snack Management
¢ Monitor the quality and freshness of vegetables, fruits, pulses, and dairy products.
¢ Ensure proper display and rotation of fresh produce and dairy items.
¢ Supervise the preparation, display, hygiene, and timely sale of evening snacks.
¢ Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
5. Team Management
¢ Supervise, motivate, and guide store employees.
¢ Prepare sta duty rosters and allocate responsibilities.
¢ Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and discipline.
¢ Train new employees on store procedures and customer service standards.
¢ Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
6. Cash & Billing Management
¢ Monitor billing operations and cash handling.
¢ Verify daily cash collections and reconcile sales reports.
¢ Ensure accurate POS operations and end-of-day closing procedures.
7. Merchandising & Display
¢ Ensure products are displayed attractively and category-wise.
¢ Maintain proper pricing, labeling, and promotional displays.
¢ Keep shelves fully stocked and organized.
¢ Plan and implement the display of new products across all segments to support new sales and
improve product visibility.
8. Reporting & Documentation
¢ Prepare daily sales, inventory, and operational reports.
¢ Maintain records of stock movement, damages, returns, and shrinkage.
¢ Report operational issues and improvement opportunities to management.
Required Skills

Qualications
¢ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Retail Management, or a related eld.
¢ Minimum 47 years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a supermarket,
departmental store, or multi-category retail outlet.
¢ Candidates from Himachal Pradesh, particularly Parwanoo, Rajgarh, and Solan, as well as
Chandigarh, will be preferred.

Working Conditions
¢ Six-day work week with rotational weekly o.
¢ Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and extended retail hours as required.
¢ Ability to stand and supervise store operations for extended periods.
Additional Responsibilities
¢ Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for stock deliveries.
¢ Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
¢ Monitor CCTV and implement loss prevention measures.
¢ Support promotional campaigns, festive sales, and special events.
¢ Introduce new products in every segment from time to time to create new sales opportunities.
¢ Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management for the smooth operation of the
store.
