Roles & Responsibility

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop nursing care plans.
- Monitor and document patients' clinical condition and report changes promptly.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures.
- Collect and label specimens accurately and communicate critical laboratory values.
- Assist during physician rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Maintain infection prevention practices and ICU quality indicators.
- Ensure functionality and preventive maintenance of clinical equipment.
- Maintain inventory, documentation, and patient safety standards.
- Report incidents and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Specialized CTVS & Transplant Responsibilities

- Assess critically ill cardiac and transplant patients.
- Manage ventilators, monitors, and other life-support equipment.
- Perform emergency nursing interventions and CPR.
- Monitor post-transplant patients for organ rejection,



hepatic/portal vein thrombosis, bleeding, and other complications.
- Administer immunosuppressive medications and monitor therapeutic levels.
- Practice strict reverse barrier nursing and infection control.
- Coordinate pre-transplant evaluations and post-transplant follow-up.
- Develop individualized discharge plans with the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain transplant documentation and patient records.
- Educate patients and families regarding transplantation, medications, follow-up care, and lifestyle modifications.
