EHS Manager with mandatory factory/manufacturing experience.

Environment, Health & Safety
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and standards across the factory.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, HIRA/JSA, safety inspections, and workplace audits.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage emergency preparedness, fire safety systems, evacuation drills, and crisis response plans.
- Ensure effective implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO, confined space entry, work-at-height, and hot work procedures.
- Monitor contractor safety and ensure compliance with company safety requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement, safety campaigns, and awareness programs.
Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, State Factory Rules, Pollution Control Board regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain all statutory registers, licenses, permits, and compliance records.
- Coordinate and support internal, external, customer, and statutory audits.
- Lead implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
Training & Development
- Conduct EHS induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Organize regular safety training, toolbox talks, and mock drills.
- Build awareness on safe work practices and environmental sustainability.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor EHS KPIs and prepare periodic reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents and improve environmental performance.
- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and external agencies on EHS matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory/preferred as per organization requirements).
- NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certifications are an added advantage.
Experience
- 812 years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety within a factory/manufacturing workplace (mandatory).
- Experience in industries such as Manufacturing, Automotive, Engineering, FMCG, Electronics, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, or Industrial Production.
- Hands-on experience in statutory compliance, EHS audits, incident investigation, and factory safety management.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of EHS laws, statutory regulations, and factory compliance.
- Expertise in HIRA, Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, PTW, LOTO, and Fire Safety.
- Experience in implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and EHS reporting systems.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Factory/manufacturing experience is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of shop floor operations and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to interact with regulatory authorities and manage statutory inspections.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Capable of leading EHS initiatives across large manufacturing facilities.
