Job Summary:
Manipal Hospitals is looking for an experienced Operation Theatre (OT) Scrub Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining a sterile operating room, assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the availability of instruments and supplies, and delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Candidates with Orthopaedic OT or Cardiac OT (Open Heart Surgery) experience will be given preference.

Role & responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room.
- Arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments during surgery.
- Monitor patients' vital signs throughout procedures.
- Follow strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Document surgical procedures and patient observations.




- Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care.
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ongoing training and career development.

Preferred candidate profile

- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
- Experience in OT or surgical nursing (preferred).
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and adherence to hospital protocols.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
