Job Description

The Instrumentation & Control Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end instrumentation engineering and coordination for EPC projects. The role involves translating project and customer requirements into detailed instrumentation and control panel specifications, coordinating with vendors and customers, supporting drafting activities, and generating BOQs for instrumentation and related electrical items.

Qualification & Experience: -

- B.E. / B. Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering (with strong instrumentation & automation experience)
- 812 years (Minimum 6 years with strong EPC exposure)

Key Responsibilities

- Engineering & Design:

- Review project specifications, customer standards, and contractual requirements

- Interpret P&IDs;, control philosophy, and process documents

- Prepare / review Instrument Index,



I/O List, Signal List, Loop Descriptions

- Define instrument ranges, alarms, trips, interlocks, and limits

- Control Panel & Automation:

- Define PLC / HMI / SCADA architecture

- Specify control panel hardware including PLCs, I/O modules, relays, power supplies, VFDs

- Review panel GA drawings, wiring diagrams, BOM, heat dissipation, enclosure specs

- Coordinate software scope requirements with vendors

- Vendor Coordination:

- Prepare technical specifications and RFQs

- Conduct technical and techno-commercial evaluations

- Finalize vendors and manage technical clarifications

- Participate in FAT / SAT activities.

- Customer & Internal Coordination:

- Coordinate with customers for P&ID;, I/O, and control philosophy clarifications

- Work with draftsman for wiring, loop, and panel drawings

- Coordinate with electrical, procurement, and project teams

- BOQ & Costing:

- Prepare BOQs for instruments, cables, trays, glands, junction boxes, panels

- Support project estimation and cost control.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

- Strong EPC instrumentation and control experience

- Hands-on exposure to PLC-based control systems

- Knowledge of IEC / ISA standards

- Solid communication, coordination, and commercial awareness.

Preferred Experience Industry:

- Experience in Cryogenic Systems such as LNG, ASU Plants, and Trunkey Cryogenic EPC systems Preferred

- Experienced in Process industries such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemicals, Water, Power required as a minimum.

- EPC contractor or system integrator background
