Position Overview

The Assistant Manager will lead and review complex US business tax engagements, including federal, multi-state, and international compliance. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts while ensuring high-quality deliverables and team development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Tax Compliance Review

- Review complex US business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065).
- Review multi-state tax returns and ensure accurate apportionment.
- Handle consolidated 1120 tax returns.
- Review international tax compliance forms (5471, 5472, 8804, 8865).
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns for clients.

Tax Research Advisory
- Conduct tax technical research on federal, state, and international tax issues.
- Work on transfer pricing, tax treaties, and cross-border taxation matters.
- Provide guidance on complex tax positions and compliance requirements.

Client Stakeholder Management
- Direct interaction with clients and partners for tax-related queries and deliverables.




- Handle communication with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
- Manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
- Identify and address client needs, build and maintain client relationships, and communicate value propositions.

Team Leadership Development
- Supervise and mentor a team of 4-5 associates.
- Review work performed by associates and provide constructive feedback.
- Impart US tax training to associates and senior associates.
- Create an atmosphere of trust, encourage improvement and innovation.
- Drive team motivation and engagement through regular feedback and recognition.
- Implement strategies to reduce attrition and foster a positive work workplace.
