Role Summary - The Manager Tax (Direct & Indirect) will be responsible for managing the Group's direct and indirect tax functions, ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws, minimizing tax risks, optimizing tax positions, and supporting to business operations across multiple companies within the Group. The role requires close coordination with finance, business, legal, auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

JD

1. Direct Tax Compliance

- Ensure timely preparation, review, and filing of income tax returns for all Group entities.
- Review advance tax computations and ensure timely payment of taxes.
- Manage TDS compliance, including deduction, deposit, returns, and reconciliations.
- Review tax provisions and DTA/DTL calculation.
- Monitor compliance with transfer pricing regulations, wherever applicable.
- Ensure compliance with tax audit requirements and related certifications.

2. Indirect Tax Compliance

- Oversee GST compliance across all Group companies.
- Review GST returns, reconciliations, annual returns, and audit requirements.
- Monitor utilization of ITC and ensure compliance with applicable provisions.
- Guide Accounts team across the group on GST matter.

3. Litigation & Assessments

- Manage income tax, GST, and other tax assessments.
- Coordinate responses to notices, departmental inquiries, and audits.
- Prepare submissions, reconciliations,



and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with external tax consultants, advocates, and regulatory authorities.
- Track tax litigation and maintain litigation status reports.

4. Tax Accounting & Reporting

- Review tax provisions for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate accounting of current tax, deferred tax, GST, and other tax balances.
- Support statutory financial reporting with tax disclosures.
- Prepare tax reconciliations and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards relating to taxation.

5. Business & Finance Support

- Provide tax support to business development and commercial teams.
- Review customer and vendor contracts from a tax perspective.
- Assist procurement, sales, treasury, HR, and legal teams on tax matters.
- Support budgeting and forecasting of tax liabilities.
- Evaluate tax implications of cross-functional business decisions.

6. ERP (SAP) & Process Improvement

- Ensure correct tax configurations in SAP ERP systems.
- Support automation of tax compliance and reporting processes.
- Improve reconciliation and reporting mechanisms.
- Coordinate implementation of tax-related system enhancements.
- Promote digitalization and process efficiencies in tax management.

Candidate Profile

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2- 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Well versed with latest tax laws & compliance requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of spreadsheet and digital tools.
- Positive communicator and ability coordinate with various team for timely completion of tasks.
