Job Roles & Responsibilities

- Patient Care and Preparation

Verify patient identity and imaging requests.

Explain imaging procedures and obtain necessary consent.

Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.

- Diagnostic Imaging Procedures

Perform X-ray examinations as prescribed by physicians.

Assist in CT, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy, and other imaging procedures.

Produce transparent, accurate, and high-quality diagnostic images.

Follow established imaging protocols and procedures.

- Radiation Safety

Adhere to radiation protection and safety guidelines.

Use protective equipment and shielding to minimize radiation exposure.

Monitor radiation doses and maintain safety records.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

- Equipment Operation and Maintenance

Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently.

Conduct routine quality assurance checks on imaging systems.

Identify equipment malfunctions and report them promptly.

Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms.

- Image Processing and Documentation

Review images for quality and diagnostic adequacy.





Accurately document patient information and examination details.

Upload and maintain imaging records in PACS and hospital information systems.

Ensure confidentiality of patient data.

- Emergency and Special Procedures

Assist radiologists during interventional and specialized imaging procedures.

Provide imaging support in emergency and trauma cases.

Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast media when applicable.

- Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.

Communicate findings requiring urgent attention according to departmental protocols.

Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
