Job Summary:

The Skin Graft Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation, processing, and application of skin grafts in surgical and clinical settings. This role involves working closely with surgeons, nurses, and laboratory staff to ensure optimal outcomes and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Skin Graft Preparation & Processing:

- Assist in the harvesting, processing, and storage of skin grafts.
- Ensure proper handling of graft materials to maintain sterility and viability.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in graft processing.

2. Surgical Assistance:

- Prepare skin grafts for application in surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during grafting procedures as needed.
- Ensure all required tools and materials are available before procedures.

3. Quality Control & Compliance:

- Adhere to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and graft details.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and hospital policies.

4. Equipment & Inventory Management:





- Maintain and sterilize instruments and equipment used in skin grafting.
- Ensure sufficient stock of grafting materials and supplies.
- Coordinate with procurement for inventory replenishment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Experience: Prior experience in skin grafting, tissue banking, or surgical assistance is preferred.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of skin grafting techniques and sterilization protocols.
- Proficiency in handling medical instruments and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
