Job Summary

- The Repair & QC Executive is responsible for inspecting finished diamond jewellery, evaluating loose diamonds, and performing or overseeing repair work.
- The ideal candidate ensures all products meet the companys strict quality and aesthetic standards before they are sold or dispatched to customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Diamond Assortment & Grading: Evaluate loose and set diamonds for the 4Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat) and check for fluorescence, symmetry, and cut quality.
- Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough checks on incoming raw materials, in-process jewellery, and finished goods to detect defects like loose stones, poor polishing, sharp edges, or mismatched sizes.
- Repair Execution & Coordination: Troubleshoot and fix minor jewellery defects (e.g., resizing, re-polishing, tightening prongs, resetting loose stones).
- Coordinate with bench jewellers for complex repairs.
- Defect Analysis: Identify the root cause of frequent repair issues (e.g., setting failures, casting issues) and implement preventive actions to reduce return rates.
- Documentation & MIS: Track all repairs,



material loss, and QC failures in the companys inventory or ERP database to maintain accountability.
- Final Dispatch Sign-off: Ensure all jewellery pieces are cleaned, tagged, and packed according to brand specifications prior to final dispatch.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in diamond grading, jewellery manufacturing quality control, and jewellery repairing.
- Technical Knowledge: Robust understanding of gold karats, diamond settings (pave, prong, bezel), and various polishing techniques.
- Certification (Preferred): Graduate Gemologist (GG), Diamond Grading Certification from recognized institutes (e.g., GIA, IGI, or HRD).
- Tools: Proficiency with gemological equipment (loupe, microscope, carat scale, presidium tester).
- Soft Skills: Excellent visual accuracy, color perception, problem-solving abilities, and high attention to detail.
