We are currently hiring for a Senior Manager - Weld Maintenance for our EV facility at Sanand, Gujarat. We are looking for professionals having 5-15 years of experience as follows:

Job Purpose

To ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and maximum uptime of automated welding equipment, robotic welding systems, fixtures, conveyors, and utility systems in the Weld Shop. The role is responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of weld shop equipment.
- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of welding lines.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.

Robotic Welding Systems

- Maintain robotic welding cells and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot robot-related faults and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support robot calibration, backup, and basic programming activities.

Welding Equipment Maintenance

- Maintain welding guns, weld controllers, transformers, dressers, and related systems.
- Monitor welding equipment performance and implement corrective actions.
- Support weld quality improvement initiatives through equipment maintenance.

Automation & Controls

- Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, actuators, servo systems, and HMI interfaces.
- Coordinate with automation teams for fault diagnosis and system restoration.
- Ensure timely closure of automation-related breakdowns.

Fixtures & Material Handling Systems

- Maintain welding fixtures, clamps, grippers, and conveyor systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Monitor fixture health and support line quality requirements.

Continuous Improvement

- Drive breakdown reduction and reliability improvement projects.
- Analyze recurring failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in TPM, Kaizen, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Safety & Compliance





- Ensure adherence to all plant safety standards and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain required documentation, maintenance records, and check sheets.
- Support audits and statutory compliance requirements.

Candidates should have hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Robotic welding systems (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, etc.)
- Resistance spot welding equipment
- Welding guns and weld controllers
- PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.)
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Industrial sensors and actuators
- Servo motors and drives
- Conveyor and material handling systems
- TPM and preventive maintenance practices
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Desired Candidate Profile

- FULL-TIME REGULAR B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- 5 to 15 years of experience in Weld Shop Maintenance within Automotive OEMs or Auto Component Manufacturing.
- Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with automated manufacturing and robotic welding environments.
- Ability to work in shifts and support production requirements.
