Role & responsibilities
Clinical & Surgical Excellence
- Perform complex, radical, and minor oncological surgical procedures (including open, minimally invasive, and organ-preservation surgeries) with absolute precision.
- Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations, accurate diagnostic biopsies, surgical staging, and manage comprehensive post-operative care and follow-ups.
- Manage a wide range of solid malignancies, including but not limited to Head & Neck, Breast, Gastrointestinal, Gynecological, and Thoracic cancers.
- Provide palliative surgical interventions to alleviate symptoms and improve the quality of life for advanced-stage cancer patients.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Actively lead and participate in Tumour Board meetings alongside Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, and Radiologists to determine cross-functional, patient-centric care pathways.
- Collaborate with the nursing, ICU,
and rehabilitative care teams to establish standardized post-operative recovery and monitoring protocols.
Center Development & Community Impact
- Drive regional awareness, cancer screening programs, and early-detection camps in Jalna and surrounding districts.
- Mentor junior clinical staff, residents, and nursing teams to enhance local oncology care capabilities.
- Maintain meticulous electronic medical records (EMR) and contribute data toward clinical research, quality audits, and clinical outcome metrics.
Preferred candidate profile
M.Ch (Surgical Oncology) or DNB (Surgical Oncology) from an NMC/MCI recognized institute.
minimum of 3 years of post-M.Ch/DNB experience in an independent or active consultant role within an established oncology setup.
