Role & responsibilities

Payroll Management:

- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for ~110,000 employees (weekly/monthly cycles)

- Validate attendance data, overtime, shift allowances, incentives, and other earnings/deductions

- Coordinate with plant HRs, time office, and operations teams for real-time data updates

Compliance & Statutory Requirements:

- Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws (PF, ESIC, Bonus Act, Minimum Wages, etc.)

- Timely filing of statutory returns and submissions to government authorities

- Maintain audit readiness and support statutory/internal audits

System & Process Ownership:

- Manage and optimize payroll systems (SAP/Oracle/Ramco/GreytHR or other platforms)

- Oversee integration of payroll systems with attendance and HRMS

- Implement automation, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives





Stakeholder Coordination:

- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Compliance, Audit, and external vendors

- Handle employee queries and grievances related to payroll

- Ensure proper documentation and data confidentiality

People & Vendor Management:

- Manage a team of payroll executives and third-party vendor staff

- Conduct training sessions and build internal capability

- Monitor SLA adherence by payroll processing partners (if outsourced)

Reporting & Analytics:

- Generate monthly payroll reports, variance analysis, and dashboards for leadership

Track headcount cost, CTC trend, payout anomalies, and statutory payments
