Job Description:

A job in an FBC (Fluidized Bed Combustion) boiler power plant involves operating and maintaining the boiler system for safe and productive electricity generation, which includes monitoring performance, managing fuel and water levels, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Key duties include using a Distributed Control System (DCS) to control parameters like temperature and pressure, executing start-up/shutdown procedures, reading gauges, and responding to alarms. Specific roles can range from boiler operators and DCS engineers to shift supervisors and maintenance technicians. Core Responsibilities

- Boiler operation: Safely and efficiently operate the FBC boiler for continuous steam and power generation.
- Performance monitoring: Monitor boiler performance using gauges, meters, and the DCS to ensure operational efficiency.
- Control and adjustments: Adjust valves to control the amount of air, water, and fuel, and oversee the fuel injection and combustion processes.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance,



keep the boiler room clean, and assist with troubleshooting and repairs of both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Safety and compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and environmental regulations, and respond to alarms and abnormal conditions.
- System management: Manage critical plant parameters and maintain the proper functioning of auxiliary equipment, such as pumps and turbines.

- Boiler Operator/Tender: Operates the boiler, monitors its systems, and ensures a steady steam supply.
