Job DescriptionHITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Project Controller who thrivesin a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a widerange of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Bangalore, India.Accountabilities:Project level responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: In conjunction with Project Team, develop the Work Breakdown Structure andBudgets for the project Work with Work Package Leaders (WPL) to develop accurate cost to completeestimates and percent complete evaluations Track, monitor and report planned budgets/forecast vs. actual spend using projectcontrolling tools (SAP, PCS and other tools). Provide variance explanations andpossible recovery plan actions Work with Project Planner to review latest schedule and quarterly report the EarnedValue Monthly reporting of project results Assist with the preparation, processing and tracking of contract Change Orders Work with the project manager to assist with the preparation and tracking ofpotential claims for additional work Track internal and external invoicing and reconciliation of cash receipts andretention. Understand and report on the cash flow position of the project Work with global controllers for Intracompany projects Track subcontractor invoicing,



payments and reconciliations Review and approve Purchase Order Requisitions in alignment with budget andtrack P.O.S in PCS. Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budget and reporting of the key performanceindicators for the project Monitor the financial “health” of the project and raise the “red flag” when a negativeimpact or condition arises. Calculate EVA at global level in accordance with group controlling mode Resolve of queries from global reporting on actual, variance to budget, workload,risk, opportunities etc Support functional Manager on project progress, key numbers and otherassignments like arbitration, claims etc. Support local ADMN in filling of Lower tax and other fillings as per statute Address queries both from Statutory, Internal and Global auditor. Resolve openpoints with auditor pertains to project progress, delay, un-billed revenue, costoverrun, EOT etc.Required Skills/ Knowledge: 10-15 Years of experience Knowledge of statutory (SAP) and management (reporting) Tools Knowledge in Project cost control, Project Management Expertise of Accounting & finance, Tax, requirements Knowledge of legal requirements (Contract clauses, Bond text; L/C …)Languages: English and Other Indian Language. Education/Qualifications: CMA/CA/MBA with 8-10 years of experience in handling Trunkey Project; Degrees in accounting or equivalent with experience of 10-15 years in handlingTrunkey Project.
