Account Receivable Specialist

Shift time: 5.30 PM to 2.30 AM IST / 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST

This Position:

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team as valued member of our growing Accounts Receivable department. This role will assist in supporting the collections efforts by working with the AR team, customers, and sales directly.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us up to date, on time and on good terms with our valued customers.

Responsibilities

Run daily bank statements & lockbox reportsPost cash receipts daily to customer accounts Process one-time and recurring customer credit card paymentsProcess ACH direct debit payments Monitor the Aging of multiple entities’ accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to collect the overdue amount.



Escalate to Manager if a payment plan is necessary.Use credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches and other tools to try to locate customers who have moved or changed phone numbers. Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer.Update customer accounts based on payment or contact informationResolve customer issues and complaints concerning invoices. Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of previous accounting/administrative processing experienceExperience with MS Office Professional – Excel expertise preferredExperience with SAP strongly preferredExperience with Sage Intacct preferredSalesforce Experience Good interpersonal skills: ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of people Must have a skilled demeanor and ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment Patience and stress managementProblem-solving skillsCritical thinking skillsMust be detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Must be reliable and committed to good attendance and timeliness Bachelor / Master of Commerce, MBA in Finance is preferred.
