Track Manager - IT security

Job Summary
Lead and manage 24/7 SOC operations across L1 / L2 / L3 tiers
Oversee security monitoring, alert triage, incident handling, and escalation
Ensure adherence to SLAs, OLAs, and security KPIs
Act as the primary escalation point for critical security incidents (P1/P2)

Key Responsibilities
SOC Operations Management
Lead and manage 24/7 SOC operations across L1 / L2 / L3 tiers
Oversee security monitoring, alert triage, incident handling, and escalation
Ensure adherence to SLAs, OLAs, and security KPIs
Act as the primary escalation point for critical security incidents (P1/P2)

Incident Response & Threat Management
Drive end‑to‑end incident response lifecycle (detection → containment → eradication → recovery)
Coordinate with global security teams, infrastructure, and application teams during incidents
Lead major incident handling (MIM) and ensure timely communication to stakeholders
Perform / oversee root cause analysis (RCA) and post‑incident reviews

Security Monitoring & Tooling
Ensure effective use and optimization of: SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar)
EDR/XDR tools (e.g., Defender, CrowdStrike)
Threat intelligence platforms and monitoring tools
Drive use case development, tuning, and false positive reduction
Ensure full coverage across endpoints, networks, cloud, and applications

Governance,



Compliance & Reporting
Provide security dashboards, reports, and executive updates (MBR / QBR / audits)
Ensure compliance with: ISO 27001 / NIST / client-specific security frameworks
Maintain audit-ready documentation, playbooks, and runbooks
Support internal and external security audits

Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as primary interface for Wacker IT Security leadership
Provide explicit, executive-level communication on risks, incidents, and posture
Align SOC delivery with business priorities and risk appetite

Continuous Improvement & Transformation
Drive automation, SOAR adoption, and process optimization
Improve MTTD / MTTR metrics and overall SOC maturity
Lead initiatives for Shift-Left, proactive threat hunting, and detection engineering

Team Leadership
Manage and develop SOC analysts across L1/L2/L3
Ensure proper skill development, certification, and knowledge management
Drive high-performance culture and accountability

Skill Requirements
Strong experience in SOC operations (5–10+ years)
Hands-on knowledge of: SIEM tools (Splunk / Sentinel / QRadar)
EDR/XDR solutions
Threat intelligence & vulnerability management
Understanding of: Network security, endpoint security, cloud security
Incident response frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK;)

Professional Skills
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Experience in client-facing roles (preferably European clients)
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and crisis management skills
Ability to operate in a governance-driven, KPI-focused environment

Nice-to-Have
Experience in manufacturing / industrial environments
Familiarity with OT/ICS security (advantage for Wacker)
Knowledge of SOAR platforms and automation frameworks
