Job Summary
The Senior Reliability Design Engineer plays a crucial role in developing high-quality designs that align with project objectives and customer requirements. This position emphasizes the application of reliability analysis, particularly focusing on Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), to ensure that products meet stringent safety and maintainability standards. The Senior Designer will work closely with various stakeholders to refine design specifications and validate solutions through rigorous prototyping, ultimately contributing to the organization’s commitment to delivering reliable and efficient products. We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer with 4-5 years’ experience in Power BI, Power Query Editor, data analysis, BOM & Cost, SCM & supplier analytics & python.
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop advanced Power Query transformations using complex M language logic, ensuring optimal performance, reusable query structures, and efficient data shaping pipelines for large and incremental datasets.
2. Design and build highly interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, incorporating advanced DAX calculations, optimized measures, hierarchical drilldowns, bookmarks, tooltips, conditional formatting, and intuitive report navigation.
3. Connect, extract, and transform data from diverse enterprise sources such as SQL, Oracle, Excel, SharePoint, CSV/Flat files, and cloud-based systems, ensuring reliability, proper data typing, and structured ingestion flows.

Manage all aspects of Power BI Service, including publishing datasets/reports, configuring workspaces, assigning user roles, maintaining permissions, monitoring usage metrics, and ensuring proper dataset refresh governance.
5. Perform weekly and monthly dataset refresh checks, troubleshoot failures, optimize refresh schedules, enable incremental refresh, and maintain high availability of published reports for business stakeholders.
6. Implement robust governance practices by configuring Row-Level Security (RLS), validating workspace permission models, tracking access logs, and ensuring compliance with corporate data protection policies.
7. Perform detailed data validation by comparing Power BI report outputs against source datasets, documenting validation steps, maintaining a data validation log, and ensuring 100% accuracy before rollout.
8. Conduct regular requirement gathering discussions with business teams, analyze KPIs, translate business scenarios into analytical solutions, provide progress updates, and refine dashboards based on feedback.
9. Maintain clear documentation for datasets, semantic models, transformation logic, data dictionaries, mapping sheets, refresh schedules, and validation trackers to ensure long-term maintainability.
10. Use Python for lightweight automation tasks such as extracting data from APIs, basic data preprocessing, creating helper scripts, and streamlining repetitive data handling processes.

Develop quick Python utilities to automate folder creation, controlled file movements, data cleanup tasks, or small ETL steps that complement Power BI’s analytical workflow.
12. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data engineering, business operations, and IT support to ensure data reliability, deliver insights, and continuously improve existing reporting frameworks.

2. Collaborate With Stakeholders To Gather Detailed Design Requirements, Ensuring Alignment With Customer Needs And Project Goals.
3. Develop Prototypes And Proof-Of-Concept Solutions To Validate Design Decisions, Leveraging Reliability Allocation Principles To Optimize Design Performance.
4. Mentor And Guide Junior Designers By Sharing Expertise, Conducting Training Sessions, And Creating Comprehensive Documentation On Reliability Design Practices.
5. Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Quality Assurance, To Ensure That Design Outputs Meet High-Quality Standards And Reliability Benchmarks.
Skill Requirements
1. Solid Understanding Of Reliability Analysis Methodologies, Specifically Mtbf And Its Applications.
2. Familiarity With Safety And Maintainability Principles In Design.
3. Proficiency In Developing And Validating Design Prototypes Through Iterative Testing And Feedback.
4. Basic Knowledge Of Quality Assurance Processes And Metrics To Enhance Design Reliability.
5. Excellent Communication Skills For Effective Stakeholder Collaboration And Mentoring.
Other Requirements
1. Certification In Reliability Engineering (Cre) Is Optional But Valuable.
