About the role
The (Field) Service Engineer Lead is responsible for installing, configuring, calibrating, and repairing technical products and systems at customer locations. The role includes performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing on-site training.

Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Leading a small team in the execution of pump services on customer sites.
2. Perform and lead such repairs as bearing replacements, mechanical seal replacements, rotor replacements.
3. Perform and lead installation & commissioning activities on both new and refurbished equipment; including levelling, soft-foot correction, laser alignment, flange-management, lube oil flushing, commissioning & start-up.
4. Trouble-shooting of pumps including condition monitoring and vibration analysis, performance assessment, lubrication checks, and supporting RCFA investigations.
5. Execution of service activities on a range of customer site locations including refineries, oil & gas production plants, gas plants, power stations, and water treatment plants.
6. Understanding and interpretation of engineering documents; Cross Section, General Arrangement, PID & Isometrics, Datasheets & Pump Curves, Manuals.
7. Following work-packs, Standard Operating Procedures, Method Statements, Risk Assessments,



and quality plan.
8. Leading small team of technicians / labourers to conduct the work activities, monitoring workmanship and developing skills.
9. Interfacing directly with customer representatives and communicating with company management and support network.
10. Safe use of hand tools, power tools, hydraulic / pneumatic tools, and hot work activities.
11. Accurate use of conventional inspection tools and instruments.
12. Safe use of overhead crane and lifting activities.
13. Maintaining tools and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.
14. Maintaining high standard of housekeeping and safety consciousness.
15. Accurately capturing activities in worklogs and timesheets.
16. Attending safety, quality, and technical training as organized by the company.

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required
· Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
· At least 5 years’ experience in rotating equipment maintenance & repairs to OEM standard.
· Demonstrable knowledge of installation & commissioning procedures.
· Understanding of acceptable repair methods and service operations.
· Knowledge of relevant engineering codes/standards and best practice.
· HSE certification such as IOSH Working Safely or equivalent.
· Knowledge / certification in secure lifting operations.
