Executive Director / Technical Director – Java & AI Experience: 18 Years Location: Bangalore (Preferred) Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Preferred About the Role We are looking for an experienced Executive Director / Technical Director who combines strong technical leadership with hands-on engineering expertise.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java-based enterprise application development , a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams, and practical experience leveraging AI technologies to build intelligent products and improve engineering productivity.

This is a highly technical leadership role where the candidate is expected to drive architecture, mentor engineering teams, make strategic technology decisions, and remain hands-on with design and critical development activities.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of large-scale enterprise applications using Java technologies.

Drive engineering excellence, technical strategy, and best practices across multiple development teams.

Manage and mentor engineering managers, technical leads, and software engineers.

Participate in hands-on architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and solution implementation.

Build scalable, secure, and high-performance distributed systems.

Drive adoption of AI-powered engineering practices and modern software development methodologies.

Work closely with business stakeholders,



product management, and customers to define technical roadmaps.

Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML, Generative AI, and automation to improve products and engineering efficiency.

Ensure high-quality software delivery through Agile and Dev

Ops practices.

Own technical governance, engineering standards, scalability, security, and performance.

Required Skills Technical Expertise 15 years of software development experience.

Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices .

Deep understanding of Distributed Systems and Enterprise Architecture .

Robust experience in REST APIs, Messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ), Multithreading, JVM Performance Tuning.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .

Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Dev

Ops practices.

Strong database knowledge (SQL & NoSQL).

Excellent understanding of System Design, Design Patterns, and scalable architecture.

Leadership Experience Proven experience leading large engineering teams (30 engineers preferred).

Experience managing Engineering Managers and Technical Leads.

Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Ability to drive technical transformation and organizational growth.

Experience delivering multiple enterprise-scale programs simultaneously.
