Job Title: Oracle EPBCS Consultant

Location: Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad (Client Office)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPBCS Consultant with proven expertise in delivering enterprise-grade planning and budgeting solutions using Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS). The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in end-to-end implementations of EPBCS, leveraging both Out-of-the-Box (OOB) modules and custom configurations. With deep knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and EPM integrations, the consultant will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance financial planning systems. This role demands technical excellence, strong stakeholder collaboration, and a commitment to delivering robust, user-centric solutions that drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency across the organization.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement tailored Oracle EPBCS solutions aligned with business requirements.

- Lead full lifecycle implementation of EPBCS applications, from discovery to hypercare.

- Configure and customize Out-of-the-Box (OOB) EPBCS modules to meet business needs.

- Build and maintain customized PBCS/EPBCS applications with optimized performance.

- Develop and enhance ASO and BSO Essbase cubes for planning and reporting.

- Create and optimize business rules using both standard and Groovy-based logic.

- Write and refine MDX calculations and Essbase scripts for complex financial models.

- Design and deliver dynamic financial reports and dashboards using Financial Reporting (FR) Studio.





- Automate planning, budgeting, and forecasting workflows to improve efficiency.

- Develop integrations between Oracle EPM applications and external systems using REST APIs, FDMEE, and EPM Automate.

- Prepare comprehensive solution design documents, technical specifications, test plans, and user guides.

- Support system testing, UAT, and production deployments with a focus on quality and stability.

- Conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions for business and technical teams.

- Provide ongoing application support, issue resolution, and production troubleshooting.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver strategic planning recommendations.

Requirements

- Proven experience with at least two full-cycle EPBCS implementations using Out-of-the-Box (OOB) modules.

- In-depth knowledge of Oracle EPBCS, Oracle PBCS, Oracle Hyperion Planning, and Oracle Essbase.

- Solid expertise in ASO and BSO cube development, MDX calculations, and business rule optimization.

- Hands-on experience with Financial Reporting (FR) Studio and Smart View for reporting and analysis.

- Demonstrated ability to design and implement integrations using FDMEE, REST APIs, and EPM Automate.

- Solid understanding of EPM data models,



financial planning processes, and reporting workflows.

- Experience with Groovy scripting for advanced business rules (preferred).

- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud and the broader Hyperion Suite.

- Proficiency in Data Management (FDMEE) and EPM integrations.

- Knowledge of forecasting, workforce planning, capital planning, and project financial planning.

- Familiarity with EPM Automate and REST API-based automation.

- Strong understanding of financial planning and budgeting best practices.

Technical Skills

- Oracle EPM: EPBCS, PBCS, Hyperion Planning, Essbase

- Development: ASO & BSO Cubes, MDX, Business Rules, Groovy (Preferred)

Experience

- 6-15 years of progressive experience in Oracle Hyperion and EPM solutions.

- Minimum of 2 successful EPBCS implementation projects from inception to go-live.

- Hands-on experience with Essbase development, FR Studio, and enterprise EPM deployments.

- Experience supporting hypercare, user training, and production support post-implementation.
