Role Overview:

The Assistant Audit Manager will be responsible for maintaining robust internal control systems and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role includes conducting audits, identifying process gaps, minimizing risks, and supporting the overall financial and operational health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Stock Audits: Conduct detailed inventory audits to ensure physical stock matches system records.
• Petty Cash Verification: Review and reconcile petty cash transactions with supporting documentation.
• Discount Audits: Validate the application of discounts to ensure accuracy and legitimacy.
• Surprise Audits:



Carry out unannounced audits to detect policy violations and prevent fraud.
• Vendor Audits: Verify the physical weight and documentation of materials received from vendors against internal records.
• SOP Development: Draft, update, and implement standard operating procedures for audit processes.
• Issue Resolution: Follow up on pending audit queries, ensuring timely closure and communication of findings.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field. Chartered Accountants with internal audit focus preferred.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years in internal audit roles.
• Skills: Strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of auditing standards, internal controls, and accounting principles.
• Work Style: Capable of working independently and collaboratively, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
