Job Summary
1. API Architect
Role Summary The API Architect is a senior leadership role responsible for the high-level design and evolution of Network APIs. They ensure that API strategies align with business objectives while maintaining technical feasibility and high standards for performance, security, and scalability.

Skills and Experience
• Experience:
• 10+ years in software architecture with at least 5 years specifically in API architecture.
• Technical Expertise:
• Deep understanding of cloud-native microservices.
• Design Standards:
• Expert knowledge of REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Platforms:
• Proficiency with API Gateway and Management platforms like Apigee, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Day-to-Day Activities
• Collaborating with stakeholders
• to gather non-functional requirements (security, scalability, reliability).
• Evaluating and selecting API




• Management strategies and platforms.
• Participating in code reviews
• to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines.
• Providing technical mentorship
• and leadership to development teams.

Deliverables and Outputs
• High-level API architectures
• and capability definitions.
• Detailed API designs (endpoints,
• payloads, authentication, and versioning).
• Enforced API contracts using
• OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Product Requirement Documents
• (PRDs) and translated technical epics/user stories in JIRA.

1. To design and architect large-scale solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
2. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated.
3. To continuously upskill with cutting-edge tech to deliver high-quality, future-proof solutions meeting client expectations and industry standards.
4. To leverage domain/tech expertise to gather client needs, deliver solutions, and craft a technology strategy aligned with business goals.
