We are proudly part of Japan Post — www.tollgroup.com The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations within the Toll DFW CFS facility, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and processing of cargo. This role supports freight forwarding operations including receiving, pick and pack processing for distribution clients, inventory management, labeling, documentation, and coordination with operations teams for inbound and outbound cargo. The Warehouse Lead will also assist with order processing, billing documentation, and guiding temporary warehouse staff to ensure secure and efficient workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, pick and pack orders, palletizing, and cargo staging.
Ensure cargo is handled safely and in compliance with company procedures and freight forwarding requirements.
Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks and containers.
Verify cargo counts, dimensions, and condition upon receipt.
Order Processing & Documentation
Log and process warehouse orders in the CW1 system as required.
Email correspondence with clients/networks.
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, receiving reports, and inventory records.
Assist with billing-related documentation for warehouse services such as storage, handling, pick/pack, and palletizing.
Maintain accurate files for warehouse transactions and shipments.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts as required.
Generate inventory reports for internal teams and customers.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Team Guidance
Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to warehouse temporary labor and work with the DFW operations team for day to day shipment handling.
Ensure tasks are assigned efficiently and work is completed according to schedule.
Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures.
Coordination & Communication
Work closely with the DFW operations team to support cargo movement.
Coordinate with trucking companies and internal staff regarding warehouse activities.
Communicate any operational issues or delays to management.
Qualifications
Experience in warehouse operations, preferably within freight forwarding, logistics, or CFS environments.
Knowledge of cargo handling, freight documentation, and inventory processes.
Ability to coordinate staff and manage multiple operational tasks.
Ability to use Microsoft Office and use of email.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Forklift certification preferred.
