Job Summary
Role Overview
We are looking for Contract Automation Engineers to support a human-in-the-loop (HITL) AI workflow that verifies PayPal presentment across merchant web sites and native mobile apps. You will operate and extend our AI-assisted automation tools, and perform targeted manual interventions where automation cannot proceed (CAPTCHAs, risk flows, KYC-heavy journeys, etc.).

Key Responsibilities
Run and monitor AI-driven web automation flows (Chrome, Safari via BrowserStack or similar) to execute end-to-end checkout journeys and capture screenshots at each step.
Operate native mobile automation (iOS and Android) on real devices using internal frameworks, validating PayPal button presence and placement across geo-language combinations.
Perform human-in-the-loop interventions when automations are blocked, including: solving CAPTCHAs, navigating high-risk/KYC flows, handling VPN- or geo-restricted apps, and correcting mis-navigations in flows.
Review, label, and validate screenshots and session recordings for accuracy of PayPal visibility, relative ranking among payment methods, and overall completeness of flows.
Document edge cases and failure patterns, and work with core engineering/AI teams to improve scripts and prompts over time.
Maintain high-quality run logs and status tracking (e.g.,



which merchants/apps ran, which failed, why, and what manual steps were required).
Support weekly runs across a portfolio of top merchants, ensuring coverage and consistency according to playbooks and SLAs.

Required Skills and Experience
4 - 6 years of experience in web or mobile test automation or QA (Selenium, Playwright, Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or similar).
Hands-on experience executing or maintaining automation on real devices and/or cloud device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, Saucelabs).
Robust familiarity with web and native mobile app UX patterns, especially e-commerce checkout flows and payment experiences.
Comfortable following detailed runbooks and accurately capturing evidence (screenshots, short recordings, annotations).
Ability to debug basic automation issues (locators, waits, navigation failures) and clearly describe issues to core engineers.
Good written English for documentation, issue tracking, and reporting run results.

Nice-to-Have
Exposure to AI-assisted automation tools (e.g., LLM-based browser agents, LangChain-style workflows) or interest in learning them.
Experience with payment flows or fintech products (PayPal, cards, wallets, BNPL).
Familiarity with VPNs, geo-switching, and testing across multiple locales and languages.
Basic scripting in Python/JavaScript to tweak or parameterize automation flows.
