Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow CMDB & ITOM Specialist with strong expertise in data migration using MID Servers, manual CI data loading, and ServiceNow Discovery troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of AMDB and CMDB processes, CMDB best practices, and hands-on experience ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Ability to handle priority and time-sensitive CMDB activities
Willingness to support on-call or extended hours during critical migrations or incidents
Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams

Key Responsibilities
CMDB & AMDB Management
Design, maintain, and govern ServiceNow CMDB in alignment with ServiceNow best practices.
Understand and implement AMDB (Asset Management Database) and its integration with CMDB.
Ensure CI lifecycle management, CI class modeling, normalization, and reconciliation.
Maintain CMDB data quality, health dashboards, and KPIs.
Data Migration & CI Loading




Perform data migration using MID Servers from multiple data sources.
Load manual CI data on priority using Import Sets and Transform Maps.
Apply Identification and Reconciliation (IRE) rules effectively.
Validate migrated data and resolve duplicate or orphan CIs.
ITOM & Discovery
Configure and manage ServiceNow Discovery.
Strong ability in Discovery debugging and troubleshooting, including MID Server, credential, pattern, and classification issues.
Analyze Discovery logs and resolve failures efficiently.
MID Server Management
Install, configure, and manage MID Servers.
Monitor MID Server health and resolve connectivity or firewall-related issues.
Process & Governance
Strong understanding of CMDB, AMDB, ITOM, and ITIL processes.
Follow CMDB governance standards, audits, and compliance practices.
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams for accurate CI data.
Skill Requirements
Mandatory Skills
5+ years of experience in ServiceNow CMDB & ITOM
Strong experience in:
• MID Server–based data migration
• Manual CI loading
• Import Sets & Transform Maps
• Excellent Discovery debugging skills
• Deep understanding of CMDB and AMDB processes
• Hands-on experience with IRE and CI relationships
Other Requirements
Flexible and willing to work in night shifts to support global operations and priority deliverables.
Experience in enterprise CMDB environments is a plus
Robust communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
