The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for the position of Associate Professor with specialization in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, and Intelligent Manufacturing. The successful candidate will contribute to excellence in teaching, research, industry collaboration, innovation, and academic leadership while supporting the University's vision of providing industry-oriented, interdisciplinary engineering education.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

n

- n
- Teach undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Robotics and Mechatronics.n
- Deliver courses such as:n
- Robotics and Automationn
- Industrial Roboticsn
- Mechatronic Systemsn
- Sensors and Actuatorsn
- Embedded Systems for Roboticsn
- Control Systemsn
- Artificial Intelligence for Roboticsn
- Machine Visionn
- CAD/CAM and Digital Manufacturingn
- Develop creative teaching methodologies including project-based, experiential, and outcome-based learning.n
- Design laboratory experiments and practical sessions using industrial robotics platforms and simulation software.n

Research & Innovation

n

- n
- Conduct high-quality research in Robotics, Automation, Smart Manufacturing, Autonomous Systems, Human-Robot Interaction, AI-enabled Robotics, and Industry 4.0.n
- Publish research papers in reputed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals.n
- Secure sponsored research projects from government agencies and industry.n
- Establish interdisciplinary research collaborations with national and international institutions.n
- Guide M.Tech. and Ph.D. scholars.n

Student Mentoring

n

- n
- Mentor students in capstone projects,



innovation challenges, hackathons, robotics competitions, and entrepreneurship initiatives.n
- Encourage participation in SAE, BAJA, RoboCon, Smart India Hackathon, and similar national/international competitions.n
- Support student internships and industrial training.n

Industry Engagement

n

- n
- Develop partnerships with robotics and automation industries.n
- Organize workshops, faculty development programs, industrial visits, certification programs, and guest lectures.n
- Promote consultancy projects and technology transfer activities.n

n

Academic Administration

n

- n
- Participate in curriculum design aligned with NEP and Outcome-Based Education (OBE).n
- Contribute to accreditation activities (NBA, NAAC, ABET where applicable).n
- Assist in departmental planning, admissions, examinations, quality assurance, and academic governance.n

n

Required Qualifications

n

- n
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation Engineering, or a closely related discipline.n
- Eligibility as per UGC/AICTE regulations for the position of Associate Professor.n

n

Experience

n

- n
- Minimum 10 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience after post-graduation, including experience at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.n
- Proven record of high-quality research publications.n
- Experience in sponsored research, consultancy, or funded projects is desirable.n
- Experience guiding postgraduate or doctoral research scholars is preferred.n
