Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Entertainment Reporter with strong knowledge of the Tamil film and television industry. The candidate should have excellent reporting skills, established relationships with cinema PR professionals and celebrities, and the ability to deliver exclusive entertainment news across digital platforms. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Tamil typing, possess valuable English communication skills, and be capable of working under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Cover Tamil cinema, television, OTT, and entertainment industry news.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with celebrities, production houses, PROs, and industry contacts.
- Source exclusive stories, interviews, event updates, and breaking news.
- Attend movie launches, audio launches, press meets, celebrity interviews, and promotional events.
- Write, edit, and publish accurate, engaging, and timely entertainment news in Tamil.
- Coordinate with editors, photographers, videographers, and the social media team for content publishing.
- Verify news sources and ensure factual, ethical reporting.
- Monitor entertainment trends, social media, and industry developments.
- Conduct celebrity interviews and create exclusive digital content.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly content targets.

Required Skills

- Excellent Tamil typing speed and accuracy.
- Good English reading, writing, and communication skills.




- Strong network with Cinema PROs, celebrities, directors, producers, actors, and TV personalities.
- Excellent news judgment and storytelling ability.
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems (CMS).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and current entertainment trends.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media, Literature, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of experience as an Entertainment Reporter or Cinema Journalist.
- Experience in digital media or television news will be an added advantage.

Preferred Requirements

- Established contacts within the Tamil film and television industry.
- Experience conducting celebrity interviews.
- Knowledge of OTT platforms and entertainment content trends.
- Ability to travel for film events, shoots, and promotional activities when required.
