Mechanical Design Engineer – Solar

Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical structures for Solar PV projects, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
- Prepare module mounting structure (MMS), structural layouts, fabrication drawings, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Perform structural calculations for wind load, dead load, seismic load, and other project-specific requirements.
- Develop and review GA drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM, and material specifications.
- Select suitable materials, sections, fasteners, and structural components for solar mounting systems.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Procurement, Project Execution, and Vendors for project requirements.
- Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with approved designs and project specifications.
- Conduct design optimization to reduce material consumption and project cost while maintaining structural strength.
- Support the project and site teams during installation, fabrication, and commissioning.




- Identify and resolve design-related issues during project execution.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards and project specifications.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Solar PV Mounting Structures and Mechanical Design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks/STAAD.Pro will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of structural analysis, fabrication, welding, fasteners, and material selection.
- Knowledge of MMS design, tracker structures, rooftop structures, and ground-mounted solar systems preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and technical coordination skills.

Key Requirements

- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Mechanical/Structural Design.
- Solar industry experience preferred.
- Experience in Solar EPC projects and Module Mounting Structures (MMS) will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple project teams.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
