Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities

- Teach English Language and Literature to students of Classes VI to X as per CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual curriculum plans, lesson plans, worksheets, and learning materials.
- Deliver engaging, student-centered, and activity-based classroom instruction.
- Develop students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- Encourage creative and critical thinking through discussions, presentations, debates, and projects.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom teaching.
- Ensure timely completion of the prescribed syllabus.

Student Assessment & Evaluation

- Prepare and evaluate assignments, projects, class tests, and examinations.
- Monitor student progress and maintain academic records.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Conduct remedial classes and support slow learners.
- Identify and nurture students with exceptional language skills.

Student Development

- Promote effective communication and language proficiency.
- Encourage participation in literary activities such as debates, elocution, essay writing, storytelling, and drama.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Mentor students for their overall academic and personal development.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Maintain attendance, assessment records, lesson plans, and other academic documentation.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Support examination processes and school academic activities.
- Assist in organizing school events, competitions, assemblies, and co-curricular activities.
- Comply with CBSE guidelines and school policies.

Qualification & ExperienceEssential Qualification

- Master's Degree in English from a recognized University.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.

Preferred Qualification

- CTET/TET qualification preferred.
- Additional certifications in teaching methodologies or educational technology will be an advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE school.
- Experience in teaching English to Classes VI to X.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
