PPC Executive (Production Planning & Control)

Job Summary

The PPC Executive is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling production activities to ensure the timely delivery of castings while maintaining optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and resources. The role coordinates with production, quality, stores, purchase, and dispatch teams to achieve production targets and customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the sales and dispatch teams to understand customer priorities and delivery requirements.
- Monitor production progress across melting, moulding, core shop, fettling, machining, and finishing operations.
- Ensure the availability of raw materials, consumables, patterns, and tools in coordination with stores and the purchase department.
- Track work orders and maintain production status reports.
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate with department heads for timely resolution.
- Optimize machine utilization, manpower allocation, and production capacity.




- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and finished goods.
- Prepare production MIS reports, production schedules, and delivery status reports.
- Coordinate with the Quality department to minimize rejection and rework affecting production schedules.
- Follow up with maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure adherence to production timelines, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Maintain ERP/MRP data and update production records accurately.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and process efficiency.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control concepts.
- Understanding of casting and foundry manufacturing processes.
- Positive analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP software.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Knowledge of inventory management and capacity planning.

Preferred Knowledge

- Green sand and shell moulding processes.
- Melting and pouring operations.
- Machining and finishing processes.
- Production scheduling and capacity planning.
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen principles.
- ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing software

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
