About Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall:

The Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall, founded in 2008, a premium venue in India and a fully furnished, 2600 sq. Ft Concert Hall in the heart of the city. With close to 1200-member seating capacity, it also features a 200-person capacity black box experimental theatre with an outdoor performance area and 3 versatile training rooms. Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall is one of the first halls in the city, with integrated, exceptional audio-visual and lighting equipment manned by trained technicians. This makes the Concert Hall a versatile venue for performances of every scale.

Who are we looking for:

The Assistant Sound Engineer supports the Sound Engineer in the setup, operation, maintenance, and dismantling of all audio equipment for rehearsals, performances, and events, ensuring smooth and high-quality audio execution.

Key Responsibilities

● Assist in setting up and dismantling all audio equipment.

● Prepare and test microphones, speakers, monitors, DI boxes, cables, and other

audio equipment.

● Replace microphone batteries and ensure backup equipment is ready.





● Support the Sound Engineer during setup, sound checks, rehearsals, and live shows.

● Troubleshoot basic audio issues and provide backstage technical support.

● Pack, store, and maintain audio equipment after every event.

● Conduct routine equipment checks and report any faults or damages.

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the audio storage area.

● Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance.

● Follow instructions from the Sound Engineer, admin office and Head of Operations

while adhering to all venue safety protocols.

Skills & and Requirements

● Basic knowledge of live sound and professional audio equipment.

● Ability to troubleshoot audio issues.

● Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

● Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

● Prior experience in live events, theatres, or concert venues is preferred.
