Role description

The Accounting Senior will support the daily and monthly financial operations of the firm by assisting in core accounting processes, financial reporting, and period-end close activities and be part of the global Finance & Accounting (F&A;) team. This role requires solid foundational accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and a cooperative working style. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

Responsibilities

- Supervise or perform the monthly global consolidation of multiple international entities, ensuring accurate intercompany eliminations and compliance with GAAP.
- Supervise or perform currency translation and support foreign exchange analysis to ensure proper financial reporting across various currencies and jurisdictions.
- Supervise the preparation of and/or prepare timely and accurate journal entries, financial statements, supporting schedules and ad hoc reports.
- Supervise the preparation of and/or prepare analysis and reconciliation of key accounts to assess accuracy, completeness, and need for adjustment.
- Takes responsibility for project load, while being able to appropriately communicate with INDUS and other global leadership to ensure agreement on direction of the project, status, issues and issue resolution.
- Train and develop staff accountants, including review of all staff accountant work product and timely feedback on results of this review; in addition, participate in the formal evaluation process of the staff.
- Application of U.S. GAAP knowledge to ensure the proper recording of financial transactions.
- Create/enhance project structure including planning project timelines and development of written procedures and improvements to project documentation. Streamline project processes to improve efficiency, eliminate redundancy, and take advantage of technology, without compromising the integrity of the work.




- Problem-solve accounting issues. Summarize problem, research results, and recommend course of action.
- Interact with various F&A; personnel and other key personnel throughout the global organization to obtain information to complete responsibilities, on cross-functional initiatives and issues, and in a customer service capacity.
- Support accounting system upgrades and replacements, including system testing and validation. Responsibilities may also include documenting workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering train-the-trainer sessions to F&A; personnel.
- Special projects as needed.
- Attend professional development and training sessions as necessary.
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
- Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize multiple assignments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and vlookups) and familiar with other Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access).
- Experience with OneStream consolidation software preferred.
- Adept at learning new software programs.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to grow professionally.
- Results-oriented; takes initiative.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.




- Willing to work additional hours when needed, and flexibility related to time zone differences in teaming with the U.S. especially around month-end and year-end close.

Education / Professional Experience/ Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience preferred (internships included).
- CPA candidacy, or equivalent, or interest in pursuing certification is a plus.
- Must have at least 2 years of successful supervisory experience

- Must have at least 3 years or more of progressive Accounting or Finance experience in a medium- to large-sized partnership or corporate accounting environment, prior experience in the professional services industry a plus.

- Experience with accounting consolidations and intercompany reconciliations preferred.
