Role Overview

As a Technical Consultant, you will work closely with the founders, product team, and engineering team to shape the technical direction of our SaaS platform. This is a hands-on consulting role requiring deep expertise in modern web technologies, scalable system architecture, and software engineering best practices.

You will act as a technical advisor while also contributing to critical implementation decisions throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic technical guidance for the overall product architecture.
- Review and improve application architecture for scalability, performance, and security.
- Advise on backend, frontend, and database design decisions.
- Conduct regular code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
- Mentor developers and help resolve complex technical challenges.
- Recommend modern tools, frameworks, and development workflows.
- Ensure maintainable, modular, and scalable code architecture.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Identify technical risks early and propose practical solutions.
- Review deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
- Help define coding standards, documentation, and development processes.
- Participate in sprint planning, architecture discussions, and technical roadmaps.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)



and TypeScript.
- Experience designing and building scalable SaaS applications.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and modern web architecture.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments is preferred.
- Robust understanding of software design patterns and clean architecture.
- Ability to work independently and make informed technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience leading or consulting on SaaS product development.
- Experience working with startups or fast-paced product teams.
- Familiarity with scalable microservice architecture.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways.
- Understanding of performance optimization and application monitoring.
- Exposure to AI-powered applications or PropTech products is an advantage.
