Lead – Programme Development and Compliance

Location: Mahim, Mumbai, Maharashtra (Full time, In-office)
Salary: ₹10,00,000 – ₹15,00,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
About the Role
Sneh Asha Foundation is looking for an experienced Lead – Programme Development and Compliance to drive programme design, ensure statutory compliance, and lead fundraising initiatives. This role is ideal for a professional who can simultaneously manage programme development, compliance, and resource mobilisation while maintaining the highest standards of governance and accountability.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme Development
- Design and strengthen programmes in education, skilling, and livelihoods for both urban and rural India.
- Lead learning and development, including curriculum design, session planning, facilitator training, and quality assurance.
- Build robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E;) systems with clear objectives, indicators, and outcome measurements.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage the Foundation's complete compliance calendar and ensure all registrations remain current and audit-ready.
- Oversee compliance related to 12A/12AB, 80G, CSR-1, NGO Darpan, GST, and FCRA (where applicable).
- Coordinate statutory filings including ITR-7, Forms 10B/10BB, Forms 10BD/10BE, annual reports, AGM documentation, utilisation certificates, and FCRA returns (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with POSH requirements, child protection and safeguarding policies, board governance, and all applicable legal obligations.
Fundraising (CSR & Individual Giving)
- Build and manage the fundraising pipeline across CSR, foundations, and individual donors.
- Prepare high-quality proposals, concept notes, project budgets, and donor presentations.
- Develop realistic budgets with clear cost-per-beneficiary calculations and no double-counting of overheads.
- Manage donor relationships and submit timely utilisation and impact reports.
Partnerships & Organisational Support
- Develop partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, educational institutions, and corporate partners.
- Prepare and manage MoUs and partnership reporting requirements.
- Support Board reporting and other strategic organisational initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in programme development and non-profit compliance, preferably in education or skilling.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising and proposal development.
- Strong knowledge of Indian non-profit regulations
- Experience designing programmes or curricula that have successfully secured funding.
- Excellent proposal writing and communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple statutory and operational deadlines.
- Based in Mumbai or elsewhere in Maharashtra.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Public Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E;) frameworks.
- Experience working with government grants.
- Existing network among CSR leaders and philanthropic funders.
- Fluent in English and Hindi; Marathi is highly preferred.
