Electronics Laboratory Technician – Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance and Calibration

- Test, calibrate, and maintain electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faulty electronic circuit boards, laboratory equipment, and hardware components.
- Maintain accurate service logs, calibration records, and equipment history sheets.
- Coordinate with external vendors for routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and major equipment repairs.

Academic and Practical Support

- Prepare laboratory setups, tools, instruments, and electronic components before practical classes, examinations, and demonstrations.
- Assist undergraduate and postgraduate students with laboratory experiments, mini-projects, major projects, and prototype development.
- Demonstrate the proper and safe use of specialized laboratory instruments, soldering equipment, and testing devices.
- Support faculty members during workshops, technical events, research activities, and laboratory demonstrations.





Inventory and Stock Management

- Maintain stock registers for electronic components, consumables, tools, and dead stock.
- Monitor inventory levels and raise requisitions for recent components, tools, and replacement parts as required.
- Issue laboratory equipment and electronic components to students and staff, maintaining accurate issue and return records.

Safety and Compliance

- Enforce laboratory safety procedures and ensure compliance with institutional safety policies.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of electronic waste (e-waste) and hazardous materials.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and adherence to workplace standards such as 5S.
- Report damaged equipment, faulty wiring, electrical hazards, or unsafe working conditions promptly to the appropriate authority.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
