Job Summary

The Assistant Professor – Commerce & Management will be responsible for delivering quality education, mentoring students, supporting curriculum development, participating in research and innovation, and contributing to the academic and administrative excellence of the department. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and student development.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, course files, and teaching materials.
- Conduct internal assessments, assignments, examinations, project evaluations, and viva examinations.
- Maintain attendance, academic records, and student performance through the ERP/LMS.
- Mentor students for academics, internships, placements, entrepreneurship, and career development.
- Develop and update curriculum in accordance with university guidelines and industry requirements.




- Guide students in research projects, dissertations, and case study analysis.
- Organize workshops, seminars, guest lectures, industrial visits, management events, and skill development programmes.
- Participate in examination duties, paper setting, evaluation, invigilation, and academic administration.
- Contribute to research publications, conferences, consultancy projects, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), and innovation initiatives.
- Support accreditation activities such as NAAC, NBA, and other quality assurance processes.
- Perform academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the Department and University.

Required Qualifications

- Master's Degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized university:
- Commerce (M.Com)
- MBA (Any Specialization)
- Management
- Finance
- Marketing
- Human Resource Management
- International Business
- Business Analytics
- Entrepreneurship
- Or any other relevant discipline.
- NET/Ph.D. will be an added advantage as per UGC/University norms.

Experience

- Freshers with excellent academic credentials are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 1–5 years of teaching, research, or relevant industry experience will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong communication and presentation skills.




- Sound knowledge of commerce and management principles.
- Effective classroom management and student mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP/LMS platforms, and digital teaching tools.
- Knowledge of research methodology and academic writing.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
- Ability to integrate industry case studies and practical applications into teaching.
