Role Overview

The Store Manager will oversee all stores and inventory operations for our manufacturing facility, ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, and spare parts for production while maintaining accurate stock records, minimizing wastage, and supporting smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operations of the stores department, including receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch of raw materials, components, consumables.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Plan and monitor stock levels to prevent production delays or excess inventory; coordinate with the procurement/purchase team for timely replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials, including stainless steel sheets, compressors, electrical components, and other dairy equipment parts, in line with safety and quality standards.
- Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders and quality specifications; coordinate with the QC team for rejections and returns.
- Supervise and train store staff/helpers; allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity.
- Generate periodic MIS reports on stock status,



consumption trends, slow-moving obsolete inventory, and cost control.
- Coordinate with production, purchase, dispatch, and accounts departments to ensure seamless material flow.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in stores/inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering/dairy equipment environment.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (Tally) and inventory management practices.
- Strong understanding of stores documentation, material handling, and warehouse safety norms.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory reporting tools.
