Quality Control Executive / Quality Control Officer

Job Summary

The Quality Control Executive is an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, products, and packaging meet the company's quality and safety standards and also inspecting, testing, and monitoring raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they comply with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The role helps maintain product quality, food safety, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
- Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological tests as per standard procedures.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct in-process and final product inspections.
- Record and analyse quality control data and prepare reports.
- Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, or other applicable standards.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality.
- Ensure proper documentation of quality records and test reports.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and warehouse teams to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve product quality.




- Ensure workplace hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Training & Improvement: Educate staff on consumer standards and collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturing processes

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Quality Management is an added advantage.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of QC testing methods and laboratory procedures.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001/22000, and FSSAI regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable documentation and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and under production deadlines.

May require rotational shifts. Language: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali. (Mandatory)

- 2–3 years: Experience in an FMCG, food processing, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods manufacturing company. (Mandatory)
