Position Title: Design Engineer - Electrical

Job Description:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, your primary responsibility is to design, develop, and oversee electrical systems for various projects in commercial & residential buildings and industries. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

Education:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience:

- Typically requires 3-7 years of experience in electrical design or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of power distribution, lighting, load calculations, earthing, and ELV systems (CCTV, access control, networking, etc.).
- Experience with MEP coordination, electrical safety standards (NBC, NEC, IS codes, IEC, etc.), and energy efficiency regulations is essential.

Skills:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

Design Development:

- Develop detailed electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems.




- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and energy efficiency standards.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, and structural engineers to integrate electrical systems into the overall building design.

System Calculations and Analysis:

- Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, short-circuit calculations, and power factor corrections.
- Size and specify transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, panels, cabling, and other electrical equipment.
- Design earthing and lightning protection systems as per standards.

Drafting and Documentation:

- Use AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools to create detailed electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), panel schedules, and schematics.
- Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and material schedules for electrical equipment.
- Review shop drawings and contractor submittals to ensure compliance with design documents.

Project Coordination:

- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to discuss project requirements and approvals.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation and commissioning phases.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
