Role Summary

We are looking for a creative and passionate Home Textile Designer to join our Design team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing innovative and commercially viable home textile designs. This role involves end-to-end ownership of the design process, from concept development to final artwork, while collaborating with Product Development, Merchandising, Production, and Marketing teams to deliver high-quality products aligned with customer and market requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop innovative, trend-driven, and commercially viable designs for home textile products, including bedding, bath linens, curtains, kitchen textiles, table linens, and decorative accessories.
- Create original artwork, colourways, patterns, prints, and design concepts based on customer requirements and market trends.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising, Production, and Marketing teams to ensure timely development and successful product launches.
- Research global design trends, colour forecasts, materials, and emerging technologies in the home textile industry.
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, technical drawings, artwork files, and product specifications.
- Coordinate sample developments and review design samples to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting development timelines.
- Maintain accurate design documentation, including technical drawings, colour standards, material references, and artwork libraries.
- Ensure all designs comply with company quality standards, brand guidelines,



and customer specifications.
- Support continuous product innovation by introducing new concepts, materials, textures, and sustainable design ideas.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Textile Technology, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.

Experience

- 5-10 years of experience in Home Textile Design, preferably in the Home Textile Export Industry.
- A strong design portfolio showcasing creative and commercially successful home textile collections is mandatory.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
- Strong understanding of home textile materials, fabric constructions, weaving techniques, printing processes, and manufacturing methods.
- Excellent knowledge of color combinations, pattern development, textures, and product aesthetics.
- Good understanding of design development from concept to production.
- Solid creativity with attention to detail and a passion for product innovation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for design documentation and reporting.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in designing products for international buyers and export markets will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of sustainable materials, eco-friendly products, and responsible design practices is preferred.
- Strong understanding of customer preferences, global design trends, and seasonal collections.
- Self-motivated, creative, and capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
