Job Summary
The Storage & Backup Lead is responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of enterprise storage platforms, backup & recovery solutions, and data protection strategy across on‑premises and hybrid environments. The role involves technical leadership, operational governance, DR/BCP ownership, stakeholder management, and team mentoring, ensuring data availability, integrity, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Storage Leadership
• Lead design, operations, and optimization of enterprise storage platforms (SAN / NAS / Object)
• Own capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management
• Drive technology consolidation and standardization initiatives

Backup & Recovery
• Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategy
• Ensure backup success, restore validation, and retention compliance
• Lead DR drills, restore tests, and audit evidence preparation

Operations & Governance
• Ensure SLA adherence for storage & backup services
• Drive incident, problem, and change management for the tower
• Perform RCA for major incidents and implement preventive controls

Security, Compliance & Risk
• Ensure data protection compliance (encryption, immutability, access controls)
• Support regulatory and customer audits (HIPAA, SOX, GxP, etc.)

People & Stakeholder Management
• Lead and mentor L2/L3 Storage & Backup engineers
• Act as primary Storage & Backup SPOC for customers and internal leadership
• Provide weekly/monthly operational and governance reports
• Support presales, estimations, and client presentations
