Job Summary
Azure File Server Migration Engineer
Key Responsibilities
• Migrate existing Windows File Servers to Azure File Sync / Azure Files
• Configure and manage Azure File Sync, sync groups, and endpoints
• Ensure data integrity, permissions, and minimal downtime during migration
• Support site migration activities:
• IP address changes
• Domain changes / domain migration
• DNS and related infrastructure updates
• Troubleshoot post‑migration file access and sync issues
Required Skills
• Hands‑on experience with Azure File Sync
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server File Services
• Experience with on‑prem to Azure file server migrations
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and networking basics
• Experience handling IP and domain change impacts
