Job Summary
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Firewall & Perimeter Security Leadership
Provide technical leadership and oversight for enterprise firewall platforms including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco (minimum two OEMs mandatory). Define standards, best practices, and architecture for firewall and perimeter security services. Guide teams on advanced firewall configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting. Oversee Firewall OS/IOS upgrades, lifecycle management, and platform standardization. Lead firewall hardening activities aligned with industry and organizational security standards. Govern SSL certificate implementation and lifecycle management across security devices.

Vulnerability & Risk Management
Lead review and remediation of Vulnerability Assessment / Penetration Testing (VA/PT) reports related to firewall and perimeter security. Drive vulnerability mitigation for firewall-related findings and configuration weaknesses. Validate and manage false positives, exceptions, and risk acceptance with security and business stakeholders. Ensure continuous improvement of the organization’s perimeter security posture.

Security Operations & Service Management
Own and govern incident, problem, and change management for firewall and network security services. Act as final escalation authority for major security and service-impacting incidents. Ensure SLA, KPI, and compliance targets are consistently met or exceeded. Oversee patch management strategy and execution for firewall platforms.

Tools, Integration & Automation
Govern integration of firewalls with enterprise tools such as SIEM, monitoring, logging,



vulnerability management, and ticketing systems. Promote automation, standardization, and operational efficiency across firewall services.

Team & Stakeholder Management
Lead, mentor, and develop managers and senior engineers within the network security domain. Provide strategic direction, capacity planning, and skills development for firewall teams. Engage with senior customers, internal leadership, auditors, and vendors. Manage vendor relationships and OEM escalations where required.

Governance, Documentation & Reporting
Ensure creation and maintenance of SOPs, standards, runbooks, and governance documentation. Review and approve security architecture documents and operational procedures. Drive accurate reporting, metrics, and executive dashboards using tools such as MS Excel and reporting platforms. Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance readiness.

Primary & Secondary Skills
Primary Skill: Hands-on and leadership experience with minimum two firewall OEMs (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco)
Secondary Skills: Solid understanding of perimeter security ecosystem
